Gujarat’s summers bring with them intense temperatures that pose serious health risks, particularly for daily wage workers, construction labourers, street vendors and others whose livelihoods keep them outdoors. Recognising these challenges, teams from Hathi and Sidhee Cement undertook an extensive outreach initiative aimed at helping communities stay safe during the peak summer months.
Summer safety kits containing essential protective items were distributed across over 100 sites, providing practical support to those most vulnerable to rising temperatures and heatwaves. However, the initiative extended beyond the distribution of kits. Equally important was the effort to spread awareness about heat-related illnesses and preventive measures.

Through interactions with communities, people were educated on the importance of staying hydrated, avoiding prolonged exposure during peak afternoon hours, recognising the early signs of heat exhaustion and seeking timely assistance when required. By combining awareness with action, the initiative sought to create a lasting impact and encourage safer practices during the summer season.
Each distribution site represented more than just a point of outreach—it became an opportunity to connect with people and reinforce a shared sense of care and responsibility. Whether it was a worker pausing for a moment of relief or a family learning valuable safety practices, the drive embodied the values that define Hathi and Sidhee Cement.

At Hathi and Sidhee Cement, we believe that true strength lies not only in the structures we build, but also in the support we extend to the communities around us. As temperatures rise, so does our resolve to stand beside our people, ensuring that care, awareness and compassion remain the strongest foundations of all.
Because when the heat rises, we rise together.
