Divine Timing and Dedication

Divine Timing and Dedication Fuel Sapnaben Parikh’s Yoga Journey

Sapnaben Gunjanbhai Parikh’s story exemplifies the power of a strong desire meeting divine providence. In early 2019, drawn by a spark of interest, Sapnaben began attending yoga classes with friends. This initial exploration soon blossomed into a deeper commitment, leading her to Yoga Niketan in Vadodara. Completing a one-month yoga certificate course further fueled her passion.

However, her ambitions extended beyond this initial step. Yearning for a more comprehensive program, the demands of family life initially presented a hurdle. Balancing a six-month yoga course with zero leave seemed like an insurmountable obstacle. Yet, as fate would have it, the universe aligned with Sapnaben’s dedication. Due to COVID-19 pandemic, the institute teaching Yoga launched a six-month online yoga course. It perfectly suited to her situation. She embraced this opportunity with gusto, her perseverance rewarded with an impressive 80% score in the program.

Sharing the Gift of Yoga
Sapnaben’s yoga journey doesn’t end with her own practice. She is currently affiliated with S. N. Foundation that allows her to share her love of yoga. One hour each day is dedicated to online yoga classes, followed by another hour spent training other women in her housing complex. This ensures not only her personal practice but also the well-being of others.

The foundation embodies the spirit of selfless service. Fees received from practitioners are used to support the education of underprivileged students. Volunteers are the backbone of the organization, with no binding commitments required.

A Supportive Family and Global Reach
Sapnaben’s success is further amplified by the unwavering support of her family. Inspired and blessed by her mother-in-law, Meenakshiben, and father-in-law, Ashwinbhai, she has empowered many through yoga. S. N. Foundation attracts individuals from diverse backgrounds, and it has even conducted 108 Surya Namaskar programs in various locations, all with the necessary permits. The online classes transcend geographical boundaries, welcoming practitioners not only from Vadodara and across India, but also from countries like Australia, Florida, and Canada.

Yoga: A Holistic Practice for All
Today, yoga is central to Sapnaben’s life. She finds immense joy in her work with the foundation, which extends beyond yoga, encompassing blood donation camps, garba celebrations, and other community events. She applauds Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision for International Yoga Day, crediting it with a surge in interest towards this ancient practice. The foundation’s approach is holistic, emphasizing not just physical postures but also the connection between mind, body, and breath. The 108 Surya Namaskar sessions, accessible to individuals above 12 years old, last approximately 50 minutes.

The Saurashtra Cement family acknowledges and appreciates Sapnaben Gunjanbhai Parikh’s dedication to yoga.
