Meet Mrs. Mita Chandarana, our feature artist in this issue. She is the wife of our Market Organizer Shri Jagat Chandarana from M/s. Anjani Seeds and Fertilizers Depot, Amreli.

Describing her journey into the world of art, here’s an insight into Mrs. Mita Chandarana’s foray into the medium.

Born in the metro city of Mumbai and raised in the beautiful town of Porbandar, Gujarat, her connection with art started from her own hometown.
Since childhood, she was fascinated and entranced by the colours and shapes of nature which made her observe the seascapes and landscapes for hours, trying to understand and acknowledge all the little visual details nature had to offer.

In her own words,“I am not professionally trained, but I never gave up or lost the sight of my passion and continued with my drawing and painting.
I am self-taught and not an expert in any particular style of painting, but I do enjoy playing around with a myriad of mediums, primarily using a palette knife to bring out the vibrancy and beauty of the surroundings giving utmost
attention to the textures.”

Acrylic painting is her preferred way to express her art form. She also tends to appreciate the style and use of watercolours for their delicacy as well as use of oil paints to bring out the luminescence.

We at Hathi Cement-Sidhee Cement wish her the best of luck in her journey of excellence and look forward to seeing more of her art.

All of the art is displayed at her in-house gallery, aptly named, ‘Blessing Art Gallery’.
