Market Organizer Ram Sisodia Ensures Dealers’ Satisfaction
Taking an extraordinary measure, he decided to completely cease retail operations with the aim of expanding the market.
Ram Sisodia’s success can be attributed to one key principle: “ensuring dealers’ complete satisfaction.” He says, “I take care to ensure that our dealers are completely satisfied.” This simple yet impactful statement has been the driving force behind his rapid rise in the business world. Beginning with Siddhi Cement dealership in 2003, within just three years, he achieved such success that, in 2006, Saurashtra Cement Company entrusted him with the role of a market organizer.
His father, Khimbhai Sisodia, had been involved in labor supply and had a strong association with Siddhi Cement since the construction of its plant in Porbandar. In 1985, Khimbhai started his own business named Jai Khodiyar Transport Company, which was engaged in supplying raw materials to Siddhi Cement. Recognizing his father’s business acumen, Ram Sisodia joined the business and began his marketing career.
Ram Sisodia took a keen interest in marketing and believed in the power of building relationships. He realized that expanding his network and connecting with more people would lead to better business opportunities. Consequently, after securing the Siddhi Cement dealership in Veraval City in 2003, he managed to establish 30 dealers in just three years, leading to his appointment as a market organizer in 2006.
In the initial period of his business, the average sales of Siddhi Cement in Veraval ranged from 400 to 600 tonnes per month. As a market organizer, he embarked on a mission to expand the network, especially in areas where Siddhi Cement had no dealers. He attributes his success to a willingness to learn from cement dealers and contractors he met, constantly enhancing his expertise. He also received unwavering support from Saurashtra Cement and emphasizes the importance of teamwork. He states, “Company officials have always been there to provide full support whenever and wherever I needed it.” He appreciates the strong relationship with the Mehta Group and has chosen to stay with them despite other offers, highlighting the group’s commitment to relationships.
Under the banner of Jai Khodiar Transport, Ram Sisodia has created approximately 85 dealers in Mangrol, Malia, Talala, Veraval, Sutrapada, Kodinar, Una, and Diu in Gir Somnath. Notably, he ensures that when establishing a new dealership in an area with an existing one, the previous dealer is not adversely affected. Regarding his business principles, he states, “I make it a point to personally meet dealers in each area and understand their needs. I take special care to ensure that dealers fully benefit from the company’s schemes and that they are not dissatisfied with any aspect of the dealership.” These measures have earned him the trust of the dealers and reinforced his dedication to the company’s interests which has led to the progress of dealership businesses without any closures.
When asked about facing competition as the market organizer of Siddhi Cement, Ram Sisodia confidently stated, “Whether in Porbandar or Gir Somnath, there is virtually no competition against Siddhi Cement. The local customers have been loyal to Siddhi Cement for years, and it has become a household name across the region.”
Ram Sisodia’s family includes his father Khimbhai, mother Rambhaben, wife Lilaben, and daughter Valencia. Valencia is currently in her first year of BBA (Bachelor of Business Administration). She represents the next generation of business acumen in the family.
